A 6-month Creative Mentorship Journey

With Intentional Creativity Teacher and Soul Doula

Amber Samaya

Creative practice as a pathway to soul-deep healing.

Re-association with your powers, potency, personality, and presence!

The SoulAssist Creative Mentorship is a personalized creative mentorship journey over 6 months that blends individual guidance with personal and community practice. Participants receive two one-on-one creative mentorship sessions each month, along with optional group creative gatherings that support self-expression, reflection, and shared inspiration. The program culminates in the creation of a self-directed creative project curated by you - serving as a chosen rite of passage that marks a threshold into fuller embodiment of yourself as a creatrix: someone who can work consciously with the raw materials of your own life and shape them into something meaningful for yourself and the world.

Why Your

Creative Access Matters

In the conditions of metamodern life, many of us find ourselves over-busy, pulled in many directions, distracted, and overwhelmed. Our work often requires repetitive or administrative tasks that leave little room for imagination or meaningful expression. At the same time, many everyday creative acts - such as cooking from scratch, growing food, making music, crafting, or inventing our own entertainment - have increasingly been replaced by convenient, done-for-you technologies and platforms.

While these conveniences can feel pleasurable  and helpful in the short term, they often provide only a quick dopamine release rather than a deeper sense of fulfillment or sovereignty. True satisfaction comes from feeling we are connected to and acting upon on soul’s longings and that we are creators in our own lives. Yet modern culture often nudges us toward becoming consumers rather than creators. Over time, this dynamic can lead to overwhelm, disconnection from ourselves, and a sense that we “don’t have time” for creativity - or even that our creative capacity has become blocked, numbed, or dormant.

The SoulAssist Creative One-to-One Mentorship is designed to gently interrupt this pattern and help you reconnect with your soul voice and creative life force. Together we will explore the internal and external factors that shape your relationship to yourself and your creativity power, including the beliefs, habits, and cultural influences that may be preventing you from seeing yourself as a dynamic co-creator with life!  We will also work with practical guidance such as how to devote time for creativity, how to support your physical and mental energy, and how to cultivate an open and connected mindset that allows your ideas to take root and grow.

Through bi-weekly in person or zoom creative sessions and a monthly in-person gathering (for those in the qathet region), we will build a supportive mentorship container where you can gradually develop practices that nourish and activate your creative life. These practices may include:

  • A guided Intentional Creativity painting process with layered underpainting, soul voice exploration, and reflective inquiries arising from your creative process
  • Exploring the inner Critic and Muse, and learning how to work with these voices in service of your growth and unfolding
  • Red Thread Connection sessions to gently explore and heal creative “art wounds” or moments where shame, fear, or self-doubt became attached to your creative expression
  • Recognizing how creativity can serve the healing and transformation of our world, and your unique role within that work
  • Using creativity as a pathway to greater consciousness, self-awareness, and insight
  • Curating a sacred creative space—including creating an art altar that keeps you connected to your intentions and inspiration
  • Movement and breath practices to awaken creative flow and reconnect with the body
  • Exploring creativity as a way we make meaning of our lives
  • Somatic breath and movement practices to quicken the body and connect the self together
  • Introduction of daily practices such as journaling, drawing, intuitive dancing that make a significant difference to wellbeing
  • Community creativity—connecting with others for inspiration, joy, and the shared human impulse to create and instigate together!

Together, these practices help restore creativity as a living force within your life - one that supports vitality, meaning, and the feeling that you are actively shaping the story you are here to live out.

Soul Assist Approach

An immersive creative mentorship to support greater access to YOU.

The SoulAssist Creative Mentorship unfolds slowly and intentionally over a 10-month “creative gestation” period, allowing time for meaningful personal and creative transformation. The journey moves through three distinct arcs, each building on the last to support deep reconnection with your creative life force and its expression in the world.

  1. The Great Return – Reassociation (Months 1&2): This opening phase focuses on reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been exiled or neglected. Together we explore areas of stagnation—in life patterns, relationships, or creative expression—and gently move from disconnection back into presence and relationship with yourself. This stage lays the foundation for creative vitality by restoring a sense of inner belonging and awareness.
  2. Creativity as Sacred Practice – Access (Months 3&4): In this phase we begin actively cultivating creativity as a living practice. Through regular creative exploration, play, embodiment practices, somatic inquiry, and reflective processes, you will awaken latent creative capacities. We work with practices that help access deeper sources of inspiration - including the superconscious - so that your authentic voice and inner guidance can emerge more clearly.
  3. Embodied Self-Expression – Curation (Months 5&6): The final arc focuses on bringing your creativity into form. With mentorship and support, you will curate a meaningful creative project that reflects your authentic expression and creative power. This project becomes a way of engaging the world with your voice and vision. Examples might include creating a poetry chapbook, developing a choreographed dance with music, producing a short film or multimedia work, creating a visual art series, or another project that calls to you.

Together, these three arcs support a gradual movement from reconnection, to creative activation, to embodied expression in the world.

Why Call it a Mentorship?

I took much time to consider what to name this creative journey. The word mentorship came to me over and over, and at first I felt it was too bold or perhaps would feel too much like I am the expert imparting my wisdom. However, when I really listened and reflected on my experiences as an artist and a creative teacher and coach, as well as my co-leading a women’s arts organization, I recognized that what so many woman are asking for is something that brings depth of relationship, community, rich time for conversation and reflection, consistency, and rootedness in the things we choose to create in our lives.

I also audaciously owned the fact that I am a MAJOR co-conspirator in other people’s creative unfolding! I have been my entire life. As a passionate, multidisciplinary artist, previous birth doula, Sister, aunt, metamodern mystic, and earth-based ritualist, I bring a unique blend of skills that bridges creative practice and transformational support. My experience spans painting, music creation and production, video production, writing and editing, creative business, live performance, and many other forms of self-expression. From this integrated foundation, I felt clear that I could offer meaningful support and meet a gap in coaching practice through creating a mentorship model that incorporates both the visionary and the practical - offering guidance with the brass-tacks aspects of creation such as technology, editing, artist statements, and written work.

This holistic approach helps ensure that your creative projects are not only imagined, but carried fully through their own birth process and brought into the world with clarity and confidence. A mentorship model felt like the most aligned and integral container for this.

This mentorship journey is intentionally curated to support a reconnection with your creative life force and breathes life into dry bones. At its heart, this work is about returning to collaboration and full engagement with Life itself: remembering your interconnectedness, your belonging within a profoundly creative universe, and your innate impulse to create as a natural response to being alive.

I believe that every soul longs to enter a state of creative flow and alignment - the full expression of your unique imprint in the world. Like every living thing, we carry within us a blueprint for unfurling, just like the bracken fern. Yet that unfolding can only happen when the right conditions for growth are present.

These conditions include (but are not limited to):

  • A Permission Slip to Create (just for the joy of creating!)
  • Sacred Creative Space (even if it is simply a corner of your living room)
  • Belief in Your Creative Capacity
  • Honouring of your Autonomy
  • Awareness of the Voices of the Critic and the Muse Within
  • Freedom from Comparison
  • Creative Companions (such as coaches, teachers, and community)
  • Celebratory Witness
  • Safety and Time

When these elements are present, creativity can flourish. When one or more are missing, our creative lives can feel undernourished or constrained.

This mentorship was designed as a longer-term, slow-cooked, intentional, somatic creative journey for women, that ensures these right conditions, allowing the spaciousness needed for depth, transformation, and authentic self-expression. Over time, participants are supported in accessing deeper layers of self, engaging in meaningful change work and repatterning, and envisioning a creative project that emerges from a strong foundation of inner exploration and practice. It is mentorship in the truest sense: someone walking beside you, sharing tools, practices, and guidance so that you can cultivate more of what you desire in your life and attuning to your individual life code.

Engaging regularly with our creativity is much like nourishing the body through movement and healthy food - it profoundly supports our wellbeing. Creative practice helps us feel more fully realized, more authentic, and more connected to who we are and what we are called to bring into the world. It invites greater joy, vitality, and openness to life. Regular creative flow stares are something we deeply crave, and when we consciously cultivate the conditions for it, it becomes more and more readily available to us.

“You are not a passive observer in this universe.

You are a participant in the unfolding of life.”
